Romelo Lukaku Biography

Romelo Lukaku Biography is a rising star of Belgian football. He is currently playing for Belgian club Anderlecht and representing Belgium national football team.

Born on 13 May 1993 in Antwerp, Belgium, Lukaku is considered to be a talented striker and is often called “The new Drogba” due to his similarity with Chelsea star Didier Drogba in terms of physical built and playing style.

Romelu Lukaku started playing football at the tender age of five when he joined his first club Rupel Boom. Having spent four seasons at Rupel Boom, he joined a Belgium Pro League club Lierse SK where he played for two years.

Lukaku then joined Anderlecht in 2006 as a 13-year-old boy. In 2009, he was handed a professional contract at Anderlecht at the age of 16 and got his senior debut for the club in the same year.

He started to represent Belgium national football team at the age of just 17 when he was featured in the Belgium squad for the match against Chile on 24 February 2010. He scored his first international goal for Belgium senior side against Russia in an international friendly on 17 November 2010.
