Arjen is one of the top wingers in the current era. Robben is quick and quite tricky. He is a dangerous customer at the goal with his left foot. He won league titles in three top European countries in his career.

Robben started his football journey with the youth system of VV Bedum. Robben joined the youth system of FC Groningen later. He made it to the senior side of FC Groningen, in 1999.He made his debut for Groningen while playing against Waalwijik in 2000. Robben scored six goals in 23 matches for Groningen in 2001/2002 season. He was their player of the season.

Following his impressive performances for Groningen, he moved to PSV Eindhoven in a transfer deal worth 3.9 million Euros, in 2002.Robben scored 13 goals, and helped PSV to win Dutch league title, in 2003.Robben along with Mateja Kezman were the players of the year of PSV in that season. Robben helped PSV to lift Peace cup in 2003 and Johan Cruijff Shield in 2004.Robben won the Holland’s Young player of the year award, in 2003.Injury affected Robben in his second for PSV. Robben played 68 matches for PSV and scored 21 goals.

In 2004,Robben joined the English club Chelsea revolution in a deal worth 18 million Euros. Due to injury, Robben started playing for Chelsea from November only. During 2004/2005 season, he scored seven goals in 18 matches to help Chelsea to win their first league title in five decades. Robben helped Chelsea to lift FA Community shield aswell as League cup in 2005.Robben helped Chelsea to retain their English Premier League title, in 2005.Injury affected Robben’s progress in 2006/2007 season. However, he helped Chelsea to win the League cup as well as FA cup, in 2007.Robben played his part in Chelsea’s impressive run in Champions league during his stint. Robben scored 19 goals in 102 appearances for Chelsea.

In 2007,Robben moved to Spain and joined European giants Real Madrid in a transfer deal worth 24 million pounds. Injury hampered his first season with Real Madrid. He scored 4 goals in 21 matches and helped Real Madrid to win La Liga, in 2008.Robben was impressive in 2008/2009 season. He helped Real Madrid to lift Spanish Super cup, in 2008.Real Madrid finished second in la liga following poor results, towards the end of the season. Following the arrival of stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Xabi Alonso, Robben became surplus at Real Madrid. Robben scored 13 goals in 63 matches for Real Madrid. Robben joined German giants Bayern Munich, in 2009. He scored a brace in his debut as a substitute to hand Bayern Munich an impressive win against German champions Wolfsburg.

Robben made his International debut for Holland in a Euro cup match against Czech Republic as a substitute, in 2004.He helped Holland to clinch penalty shootout against Sweden in a knock out match, in that tournament. Robben helped Holland to qualify for 2006 world cup. He scored against Serbia and Montenegro in his first world cup match. He won two man of the match awards, at 2006 world cup. He scored an amazing goal against France at Euro 2008.Holland went out of the tournament at quarterfinal stage. Robben has scored 11 goals in 43 appearances for Holland. Robben is certainly a skilful player to have in any team.
